Thursday Afternoon

Thursday Afternoon is a highly experimental piece made of layers of SVG imagery in HTML5 with javascript taking advantage of the opacity features and scalability.
Each time the file loads the elements load randomly at random sizes and layers. The image reloads itself every 20s. The whole file comes in at 27kb. See it on altjames.com here.
My post-pixel series is about flatness and vectors and moving away from pixel painting. I'm thinking about what abstract looks like when it's not obsessed with texture and paint.
It was made on a Thursday Afternoon, listening to Brian Eno's 'Thursday Afternoon'.
